1. There are no factors that are going to affect my participation in this class. I have a computer, smart phone, and transportation. My schedule is a little hectic with sports and the 7 classes but I am sure I will manage to put forth my best efforts in this class. I do have to say if I am laying on my desk, seem like I am zoning out, or tend to be a bit grumpy just know you can blame lack of sleep!
2. The best ever learning experience for me would be playing my last game on the freshman team for basketball before moving up to JV. It may seem lame but to me it isn't it is probably going to be one of my top remembered games. I learned to never slack off always give 110% into everything. I remember we were down by about 10 points in the 4th quarter with 2 minutes remaining in the game and one of my teammates was joking around asking if I could pull a Kobe Bryant (my favorite basketball player ever/idol) miracle with a buzzer beater to win us the game. I honestly didn't think I could do it because getting 10 points in 2 minutes can be difficult. We go back into the game and I suddenly felt like I was Kobe because I was shooting 3's and scoring and constantly stealing the ball to get us back into the game. I was extremely excited because I love games that are on the line because it made me nervous but excited. Like I knew we had to go out with a win and we eventually did in overtime. Honestly I loved walking out the gym feeling like Kobe bringing his team to a one point win. ;) But I didn't know it would be the last game I play with my fellow freshman teammates before moving up to JV. However, I was over satisfied with my performance, I was able to walk out saying I did my absolute best. So what I basically learned was always play your hardest never give up, give 110% no matter what you do. Always give anything your all because sometimes it could be worth a lot. I would quote Michael Jordan in this case "Love is playing every game like its your last." and it perfectly describes what I learned that day.
3. The most thing I am excited about in this class is all the interesting material we are going to read and all the projects that we will do. The thing I am most concerned about is the essays because English is not my strong suit. It takes me time to write essays so when we do the timed ones in class I shake as I write and panic nervously.
